Each piece of information is cross-checked against multiple sources to rule out biased or inaccurate data. In the most sensitive areas, our analysts conduct on-site verification, particularly when the situation is changing rapidly.
Ranking and Geolocation
Each incident is classified into one of about 100 categories and geolocated down to the most detailed administrative level: region, province, municipality.
Sources Cited
New incidents are systematically attributed, and older ones are being attributed gradually. Public sources are cited; confidential sources are identified by type.
